You won't know how much you’ll miss someone until they’re gone. Go give them a big hug while you have the chance.

About This Quote

When you think about it, our lives are so short. I'll never forget walking down to the bus stop in high school and seeing my best friend in the world walking to her bus stop. She was so young, so carefree, so full of life. It seemed like just yesterday that I was walking beside her in that moment when she was about to take that bus ride.

As I watched her walk away into the distance, one thought hit me like a freight train; I could never go back and tell her how much I loved her. We didn't get to hang out much after that because she moved away but whenever we did speak it was like she'd never left. She was always ready with a big hug for me when she saw me (even though in all reality she probably wanted to be in class by now).

It broke my heart when I found out she had passed away because it meant I would never see her again. You won't know how much you'll miss someone until they're gone and you really should go give them a big hug while you have the chance.
